The AfriMusic Song Contest is the first and biggest music competition platform of its kind in Africa.  In 2018, singer songwriter Symphony, representing eSwatini, won the AfriMusic Song Contest with her song Sengikhona and singer songwriter Nonzwakazki representing South Africa, won the 2019 contest, with her song Phakama Mbokodo, which means “Rise Women”.

Both artists were awarded with an opportunity to represent their artistry and their country, with an all-expenses paid trip to perform abroad, as part of the EuroVision Song Contest.
Entries for the 2020 AfriMusic Song Contest closed on the 1st of February 2020 and is currently in the National Selections phase, seeing 113 qualifying songs from 24 African countries.
The winner will be awarded with an all-expenses paid trip*, to the city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where the 2020 EuroVision Song Contest will take place during the 12th to the 16th May 2020.
Order of Contest:
National Selections – 20th of February 2020 to 20th of March 2020
Finals – 10th of April 2020 to 25th of April 2020
2020 Winner Announcement – 27th April 2020
