It’s official – Nick Jonas will serve as a new coach on season 18 of NBC’s The Voice!
The 27-year-old singer will fill the void left by Adam Levine‘s May departure, Nick announced on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the episode airing on Tuesday (October 8).
The current coaches this fall are Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and John Legend.
It started when Ellen DeGeneres insisted that Nick reveal the big news he had been teasing on social media.
Ellen then shared a video message from coaches Blake, Kelly Clarkson, and John announcing Nick as the newest member of the singing competition show.
While Nick chatted about his new role as coach, Ellen pricelessly scared the Jonas Brothers with Nick’s new co-star, “Blake Shelton.”
“I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family,” Nick said. “It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.”
