MUSIGA and it’s matters arising

There have been issues about MUSIGA and its ongoing election brouhaha. Artistes have thoughts that, MUSIGA has not structured anything to aid musicians in Ghana, as far as the young artiste are concerned. Although the outgoing president of the union Bice Osei Kuffour a.k.a. OBOUR, has so much credit to himself the creation of the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund which the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana; Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commended him for.

Trigmatic a musician and a member of Musicians Union Of Ghana(MUSIGA), to be specific (MUSIGA ELECTION COMMITTEE SPOKESPERSON)says, they have always be on the run just to get things into place, asking questions about things they don’t understand.

He also added, there was a time they have to stay at MUSIGA premises at 9.00pm in order to get things right. He said they’ve never work in favour any candidate/aspirants. ”Any member has right to put an injunction on the election, but they should try read the union’s constitution and advice themselves.”

Ras Caleb Appiah, is Greater Accra regional chairman of MUSIGA, and an aspirant of MUSIGA presidency race, has gone to court to put an injunction on the election over an alleged news of bloated union election register. These news came on when MUSIGA on two separate occasion postponed the union’s election, for issues arising about aspirants allegedly getting people to become members in order to in favour of them.

But the election committee has denied all allegations, saying they have to postpone the election because, the Electoral Commission Of Ghana has busy schedules, that makes them not to carry out the election exercise, and it has nothing to do about the alleged news of a bloated election register……
